This may be the first book essentially about relationships that I have read that was written by a man. And I must say, how interesting. The differences are mostly subtle, but differences there are. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with Judd and his humorous and wonderfully dysfunctional family as they sat shiva after the death of the patriarch. That Judd was dealing with his wife’s infidelity only added to the dark humor. Some parts were wonderfully bittersweet, and others were truly laugh-out-loud funny. I was thrilled when I read about Tropper at the end of the book to learn this story is being adapted into a screenplay. This will surely be a great movie.
