Read this book! What a fantastic time, sharing in the life of Denny and his family. The story told is funny and heartfelt, sad and dark, and uplifting and encouraging. It tells of Denny and his family and some difficulties they face—as witnessed by and told by his dog, Enzo. I laughed and I cried. I cheered and I jeered. But mostly, I got lost in their story and their struggle. And when the story was over, I was astoundingly happy to be able to be home and for my own pup to look up at me with his brown eyes, tail wagging, paw on my knee, speaking to me through his gestures, but yes, communicating so very much more.
